I want to wish this happiness on all of us. I do, I truly do. But I can’t. Because in my heart of hearts, I know that you and I will never know this feeling. You and I will never love something as much as Jon Gruden loves the game of football. Nobody that you have ever known in your entire life has ever loved something as much as Jon Gruden loves the game of football. Find me one person on this planet who can get this excited for something he sees as frequently as Jon Gruden sees a quarterback read the linebacker. Dude has probably watched a quarterback make that read no less than a million times over the course of his life in football. And yet here we are, on read one million and one, and Gruden is smiling like Andy Dufresne after crawling through five-hundred yards of shit smelling foulness I can’t even imagine.

I hope you all find something that you love even half as much as Jon Gruden loves football. If you find it, hold on to it and never let go.
