I hadn’t really thought about it until now, but we’re gonna be hit with a TON of Vince Carter memories this next week. He’s undoubtedly the most important player in Raptors history, and you could easily argue they never would’ve survived in Toronto without him there to draw the crowds that he did. And without that, they wouldn’t be here in Toronto now for All Star Weekend. I know there’s still some bad blood with how things ended between the two sides, but this weekend should serve as a good homecoming for what could be Vince’s last NBA season. At the very least, one of these Dunk Competition guys is going to throw on a #15 and breaking out the “it’s over” celebration as an ode to the greatest Dunk Competition performance of all time.
