This isn’t news, and isn’t even really blogworthy. It’s just a thing that I have to point out because it involves Kristaps and I will always blog Kristaps stories. We could just pencil in Porzingis and Towns for February, March, and April and skip the charade of pretending it’s a competition anymore, but I respect that the NBA wants to do this once a month to recognize the man they know will be representing the league as the top dog for the next 15 years.
I guess the real reason I’m posting this is to just remind everyone just how early it is with KP. He’s collecting these Rookie Of The Month Awards by a large margin, and he hasn’t even begun to scratch his potential. The Draymond matchup on Sunday showed how much he still has to (and will) improve on. And that doesn’t even touch on the offensive jump he’ll make with 1) a real point guard on the pick and pop, 2) an offseason of adding weight and developing his post game, and 3) comfortability with the NBA 3 point line.
