Am I seriously the only person who’s kinda sneaky really pumped for this Jags-Titans game tonight? I am right? I mean all I’ve heard since the end of that Jets-Bills game last week was a ton of snark and sarcasm about Jags-Titans. All the usual “marquee matchup” and “should be a classic” nonsense from every corner of the internet. Blah blah blah blah blah.
Ummm, I’m sorry bruh, are you too good for nailbiters? Are you too good for shootouts? Are you too good for high-octane offenses and underrated defenses? Are you too good for talent young quarterback play? Are you too good for the inaugural game of the Bortles-Mariotta rivalry the AFC South has been waiting for? Are you too good for the future of the NFL? Are you too good for action backed, back and forth barn burners? Are you too good for fire gold uniforms?
I’m not. I’m not too good for anything NFL. Certainly not a game that I know will hit the over and come down to a last second field goal. And certainly not my adopted second team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
And before you hit me with a “Ham, I’m not watching two teams with five total wins play on a Thursday night,” let me remind you of this…
The three-win Jags are just a game back. One game back of the division lead, with a remaining schedule that screams 9-7.
One game back of the Indianapolis “starting a 40-year-old QB” Colts and the Houston “starting Brian Hoyer or TJ Yates” Texans.
One game back of a franchise changing division title.
That’s what tonight means. And if you can’t see that, then you don’t understand how free that money will be when we can all bet on the Steelers laying less than a touchdown (it will open -6) in Jacksonville for the 4:30 Saturday afternoon game on Wildcard Weekend.
Jags -3, Over 42.5. Parlay it up and watch that money roll in. Jacksonville Stand Up.
