Fans in Clemson are hungry for a championship, and just in case a playoff berth isn’t enough to quench their appetites, Tigers coach Dabo Swinney has also promised pizza.
Swinney, whose Tigers are 8-0 and can clinch the Atlantic Division title with a win over Florida State on Saturday, are looking good for the College Football Playoff, and Swinney told reporters Tuesday that if Clemson makes the final four, he’ll buy pizza for everyone that can fit in Memorial Stadium — a crowd that could top 80,000.
“The only poll that we’re excited about is Dec. 6, and I promise you we’ll have the biggest poll party you’ve seen,” Swinney told reporters at his weekly news conference Tuesday, according to The State. “We’ll open up Death Valley and serve pizza to everybody. That’ll be a time to celebrate a poll. Until then, it doesn’t matter.”
